yes, but if you use a Gen IV engine and controller you can do the swap pretty easily. it has been done in a GMT800 by speartech.

i have the 258mm tq converter and i want a new one 3200-3600 as prepreation for a cam swap and didnt find any stalls for the trucks

not a whole lot of aftermarket for these transmissions. they are still pretty new

I Was Running This Trans On My Truck When I Did The Swap, I Can Honestly Say That Is Sucks Balls. Stick With The 4l80 U Cant Go Wrong, Or Just Use Th350..

Why did it suck balls? Sounds like this transmission is what makes the newer trucks what they are.

Any updates on swapping this transmission into an older vehicle? It's been out for a couple years now and I can't see it being impossible.

the only time i really like mine is when im towing.... otherwise... its always shifting and its a pain in the ass to deal with!!!!!
