Thread: RWD to AWD conversion

    i have a 2002 silverado thats RWD and not 4x4. does anyone know how to convert itfrom RWD to AWD?

    Josh, I really dont know about this things, but I thing will be easier to buy a 4wd from dead start.

    If I dont badly recall for starters the front suspension is no where near as a change over, spiral vs torsion bars, and so on....I dont know if it can be done (I think nothing is imposible) but the work that it'll requiered will be like tons of headaches....

    Me personally, I'm to old. LOL

    Sell it buy a 4wd if you want all time awd drive buy a denali or and SS.
    You could convert A 4wd to awd but a 2wd to 4wd is way to tough and cost 3 times as much as buying 4wd

    i agree, the suspension up from is totally different. if u want AWD look for a reg cab Z71 and convert it to awd. its too costly to do anything else IMO.
