You will, but if you're going to swap, I'd look for an LQ9. Why waste the energy for 10 - 15 HP more on stock setups? Go with a 6-OH, and build on top of 364ci. Upgrade cam, springs, rods, higher stall TC, and tune... then, you'll be faster than me (as if my 14-second truck is really that fast).

    5.3 are really cheap....the 6.0 are expensive....and will everything match up from 4.8 to 6.0....and if im not going to a 5.3 wouldn't a ls1 5.7 be better than a 6.0? maybe not idk

Ive read on here that the 6.0 is more boost friendly that is if your looking to boost.

ls1 is probably more expensive then both engines. You may pay 500 or so more for a low mile 6.0, but you can get that much more out of the 6.0 then the 5.3. No doubt the 5.3 is strong, but if your going to take the time to do the swap go big or go home i guess is the saying.

Agreed... this coming from someone with a 5.3 now. No doubt that it's strong, but the 6.0 would be better. The 6.0s are more expensive, but how much is more? If it takes saving one more month, save on, brotha.

I went from 5.3 to LQ4 6.0 and I'm glad I did. If you go to 5.3 youll say (should have gone wih 6.0) Just like i'm doing by installing a custom ground cam for even more power and already got a nelson tune. I'm just wondering when enough is going to be enough!
