    A Few Questions

I have a 95 sierra 4x4 regular cab stepside 305tbi and 4l60e that I want to put a 5.3 in. First thing is I want to keep the factory manifolds and somehow modify or make a y pipe to tie it all together. Anyone have any pics to give me some ideas of what I can do for a y pipe. The next thing is the fuel lines. I have what appears is a feed and return line it is steel with crimped hose on it from the factory. I tried to compare them to newer trucks with the vortec and came up with the same part numbers. Has anyone used the originals. I know I need a new fuel pump so that is no problem. Next thing I hear is mixed views on my 95 trans. I hear from some it will work fine and other saying the solenoids are different and wont work right. Anyone have any clue or has used the original. Last is I will be doing my own harness. I am not scared I was a GM tech for a few years and know my way around the diagrams and where they go. Thanks guys for any help you may give.

id say the easiest thing you could do is find a 5.3 with a 4l60e trans already mounted to it...unless this is a budget build that would be the less hectic way. otherwise you can always use ur old tranny and Nelson could hook you up with a harness that you need

I think i will do my own harness I cant see spending hundreds of dollars for wires when they are already all there in a factory harness

The 95 tranny with work perfectly fine. Mine is the original 95 and it works as it should for several thousand miles now. And I'm sorry but what do you mean by the fuel lines? Are you talking about the original ones on the truck?

On mine I cut off the original fuel lines and used new fuel injection hose double clamped with the good "bolt" style clamps. Bought some quick connect fuel fittings from oriellys that will snap right on the fuel rail and has a hose barb on the other side, double clamp it the with good clamps as well. It works perfect, let me know if you need pics

sure I will take any pics you wanna send. How did you tie your exhaust up together? Does the 5.3 y pipe bolt up without any clearance issues?
