    1985 Dodge W150 LS1 swap

I just finished my LS1 swap into my W150 Dodge truck. The truck started life as a slant six 4 speed OD manual tranny truck. I installed a 2000 Camaro LS1 with a Texas Speed 228 cam in it and the 4L60 with a 2800 stall converter. It has take me about two weeks of working in the evenings and weekends to get done. The last pictures is what I started with , I bought the truck back in April and was going to use it as a daily driver , it just didn't have enough power!

Sorry bro, I can't leave the party now. I was inspired by your truck and thought , hey why not? I couldn't find anyone else other than you that had done it. My Slant six just didn't have it no more. Mine is just a 2 wheel drive, Maybe that makes it ok?

Do you have plans on taking it to the track? with that cam, stall, and being a lowered truck I'm sure you'll smoke my time.....possibly low 13's high 12's?

Even though my trucks looks heavy its lighter then most newer 2wd trucks

The closet track to me is an 1/8 mile, I'm going to have to get a different rear end before I go there. It would just be to embarrassing to spin the heck out of one tire, with no weight and no traction all it'll do is make a lot of smoke! The Camaro that the motor cam out of was running in the low 8's, although he had a 4000rpm stall in it.
