Allen, I read your site about your PCM tuning and I have a question. Do you offer a box to tune the PCM or exactly what method do you use ?? We may also want to eliminate some features in the PCM, not VATS, but what do you offer ??? Thanks................

I tune with a product called LS1Edit. It's software that installs on your pc/laptop and connects to your pcm thru the aldl connector under the dash.

You can tune anything in the pcm, well at least anything i can think of, and it's a great tool. I can eliminate anything in the pcm you're not going to be using, ie. emissions, skip shift, etc...

Whatever you need just let me know and i'll work with you on it. My main tunes are on my site so if you don't see something just give me a shout.

btw, what kind of project do you have going on? I'd love to hear about it,

    thanks for the interest,

We are in process of installing a 2K WS6 LS1/4L60E into a RC 90 Chevy truck. We have been working on this install for a few months, no hurry. I used the truck's wiring harness and the T/A's LS1 harness (with the VATS key). I merged them together for a clean and functional working harness. Everything that was orignal on truck still works great. We put a high pressure fuel pump in tank and had the fuel rail modified by 'Street & Performance' so to have a return line. We also purchased all of our pullyes and (AC, Alt. PS) brackets from S&P because they are chromed not just polished alum. We also got our headers from S&P, coated and looks good.
The VATS key is tucked away in secert place so no one can start the truck and just drive off. As for the truck, my man is installing an Escalade front cap and Caddie tail lights, painted the truck a Viper red. Mags on order along with nice tires. It should be on the road in a few months, like I said no hurry, part time project. The fans are from a T/A and when the temp reaches 209, they both run slow, then as temp rises, they both go to high speed. The swap went better than we thought, motor mounts were tough, location and angle. We'll try and get some pic's together for show, it's a beauty. No NOS, just pure stock for now, until everything works correctly. Someone stole our digital cam, so we are going to try and get some pic's to post here. We have some orignal prints of the project and I'm looking for someone with a scanner. The motor sounds great without any mufflers. One thing at a time........

Sounds like a badass project, what did you decide on the A/C compressor, is your frame setup like my 94 frame is. If so, did you cut the frame or were you talking about the ac compressor when you mentioned the chrome brackets?
How did you manage the engine mounts?
I guess once you get some pics that will answer most of my questions.
Whenever you're ready, let me know on the emissions stuff and i'll remove those for you. Or, a performance tune

    good luck,

Allen, I think the frames on the two trucks are the same, so we didn't use the orignal A/C compressor. We bought a Chrome one from Speed & Performance along with a chrome Alt., they look great. Both are up high out of the way of the frame. We bought their P.S. pump and it sits low on the block. We used orignal LS1 motor mounts on the engine and turned upside down the orignial truck engine cup motor mounts, spread them open a little to fit the LS1 mounts. Bolted the cups to the frame with spacer washers to get the correct angle. We then used S & P's headers, which look and fit great. My freind has a scanner, so we'll get some pic's to post here and maybe it will help someone else doing this swap. We started up the motor and put it in gear (4L60E), it feels like the trans is in 2nd gear the way it slugs on take off, not too much go, just sluggish. I hope the trans didn't get damaged in the donor totaled car. I'll be checking back, by the way how much is the LS1edit prgm and cable ??

That's great news on the headers, i didn't realize anybody made a set for our apps, but i guess if the stock manifolds work, then the headers may, i just didn't want to buy an expensive set of headers and have them not fit.
You can find more info on ls1edit at carputing.com ,

Good luck on your project and keep us updated on the pics, i bet they look great,
