tips. do lots of researching first so you wont be clueless before you start the swap. it helps to have lots of the parts, so you dont have down time waiting. your gonna spend more money for the ls1 than a 6.0L. id rather go 6.0 more ci,cheaper, and a cast iron block you can always build a stroker. The ls1 is aluminum so it has sleeves. ive got my 82 c10 ls motor swap running. if you have questions just ask.

alright thanks man i will
I agree with him. Truck motors are more plentiful and just cheaper all around. Pretty easy to install to. But like stated above....do your home work and it will go so much smoother

for motor mounts go2 dirtydingo.com and for a harness hit up nelson performance. As for headers I ordered my schoenfield headers from them along with my harness.I'll post this info jus to get u started. When u get ur engine try and get the complete harness(will make things easier and cheaper down the road) make sure to get the tac module and pedal if it's drive by wire.
Could someone explain the advantages of the dirtydingo mounts over the cheap plates, like can i use factory manifolds with the dirty dingo mounts?
i used the Hooker header adapter plates, they worked well for me. the motor sits far back and low just like i wanted.
