As far as I can tell the only differences are the early heads have perimeter bolt valve covers and the later have center bolt valve covers. The LS6 heads are the only ones that flow different and the have a higher compression ratio.

no idea on the coil packs , for sure, but i looked very closely at some pics, and they look like they will

I'm pretty sure the coil backs will interchange I know the truck coils mount a little bit higher than the corvette f-body coils.

The '01-'02 heads with the 241 castings are supposed to be slighly better from what I've read.
