Stand alone harness and A/C?

I am reworking a 2001 harness for my lq4 swap into my 98 c1500. Now I am following the instructions on lt1swap for the harness and it show what wires to cut. It shows all the air cond ones. I want to keep the air in my truck does a 2005 pcm control the air or is the air in my truck controlled not by the pcm? I havne't cut them but not sure if I should or not.

Don't you can use them. They are assuming you are using a stand alone AC system or none at all.

The 98 and 2001 AC system are very similar and it won't be hard to get it all to work together. If you were using a 2005 PCM it would be a different story. Are you using the the LQ4 pump or your 98 pump?

By pump, you mean air compressor? I'm not sure what one i'll be using yet. So I can't use my 2005 ecm? I was gonna get a 411 ecm but I got a 2005 silverado pcm and was gonna just compare pinouts and repin if necessary. but if there is major differences where I can't use the 05 ecm then i'll just use the 411 pcm.

I too am interested in the response here, I can use either the stock 2002 compressor or a Sanden 508, depends on a couple things here.

I am using a 2002 truck ECM
