    DBW cuts out

I have to shut the truck off and turn it back on to get the dbw to work. Here is what I have. A 1970 c10,2005 lq9, 2005 4l60e, Programed computer for the truck, Drive by wire, stock truck wiring. Today I turned the key for the first time and started right up, big smile. So I back out into the drive way to the road, then back to the house, then back to the road. This is where I think it is a good idea to smoke the tires, another big smile. That works just fine. Shut the truck off and look for leaks and stuff like that and all is good. Now the dbw cuts out and I have to shut the truck off and turn it back on to get it to work again. Soon as the tires turn over the dbw cuts out. What might do this. Thanks.

Sounds like you don't have the right TAC modual for your setup. My buddy had this same problem with the LQ9 he put in his 56. Post up the year and PN of TAC modual you have and GasGuzzler can probable tell you if its right or not.

Glad I am not the only one. The #'s on the top of the tac are:
    tmd1-160k1
    506-095038
Not sure what they mean, The wiring is from a 2005 chevy 2500 and I am not sure what the gas pedal and tac came out of. I think it is out of a caddy. The motor is 05 hummer. This will be franken truck..
    Thanks for the time.

Might need to know more about what you are using.

The wiring was off a 2500 so it had a 4l80e. I now have a 4l60e so I added pins.

circuit computer plug and pin trans pin
    418 green-----------2 u
    422 green----------42 t

    moved
    687 blue------------79 s
trans pins c,d,b,a,l,n,r, and p all stayed the same. Is there something that could make the computer go into safe mode.
    Thanks

Ok, just pluged it into a scan tool. Code was "p1518 pcm to tac mode", I had a extra tac mod so I changed that. Truck seems to go now but I have a new code. It is "p0650 mil circuit malfunction". Now what?@#@#$@@#!@
    Thanks

650 is most likely caused by using a different TACM. They need to be the same year and part number. TACM failures are very rare and the only ones I've ever replaced were on lightning strike trucks. 650 is a problem with the MIL control. 1518 is usually caused by a weak battery.
