The most important thing is that you get the larger driveshaft yoke. There are two. The camaro/firebird use the smaller ones. The trucks use a much larger ujoint. Re-use the stock shaft for strength. Just my opinion. Aluminum it too weak for the torque load of a heavy truck. Draw yourself a straight line down your steel shaft and after a few months of driving/trips to the track you will see how much even the steel tube will twist. Sure you could buy kevlar but for the price you could gain more horsepower buying add-ons than you could save by the lighter weight. The smaller diameter driveshaft the better, less rotating mass.

mine doesnt vibrate even with 4.10s jimmy...i thought/feared it would. i havent done a 6k rpm dump at the tree yet either though.
bigger diameter = less vibe/stronger and yes aluminum will work. allens is 3.5" HD aluminum i believe.
