custom mounts, modify the wiring harness, we have a write up on how to at http://www.ls1truck.com/howto/99-94wiring.html That is the wiring write up for sticking an LS1 into a 94 fullsize. I know i'm missing a whole lot and someone else can fill it in and when i get the full list, i'll make it into a page and stick it on the site.
A little something is... you'll need to use a truck intake manifold to run truck accessories, or ls1/6 intake manifold you need f-body or vette accessories. You can't keep your A/C unless you cut the fromt crossmember/frame area, or wait till Allen (fartruc) start fabricating them and you can buy one from him.
91 s10 - bagged and bodydropped...getting rebuilt
91 nissan - backhalfed and bagged
domes pretty much summed it up, you'll run into little gotchas here and there but that's what it's all about, plan as much as you can, that will save you tons of time, and mentally go thru each step and write down every part you can imagine you'll need.
i'm sure your swap will be very close to mine, once you get it in, you'll never go back, the power is amazing and the mph is much better,
giving you a complete list is a little more difficult then answering specific questions, i need to get off my ass and do a complete write up from all the notes and pics i have,
doh,
see ya online,

I plan on undertaking such a project before too long. I plan on taking the truck off the streets over the winter, and doing a 6.0L motor in it, at the same time I do suspension, caddy clip etc. to it. It's not gonna be fun, but the end result will be well worth it!
Also-are all 6.0L blocks iron? Or, do some of them come in aluminum. Which one would I need? I can't seem to find someone who sells just a bareblock. They all want the whole long block, and that's $$$$ for things I don't need.
BTW-The motor would be going in a '97 Z-71. Thanks guys..

the aluminum blocks started in 03 for the 5.3L and a tad earlier for the 6.0L,
