    Putting a 4.8 with 5 speed in a 1954 GMC..

    How difficult is this??

A customer was wanting to do it to their truck.. If they had the complete engine and tranny with wiring harness and ECU, what all would it involve?? It already has a 1st Gen Camaro Subframe under it.. Just trying to get an idea for them.

    Thanks.

Also, we will be using a Painless wiring Harness in it also..

I think you'll just need mounts, fuel system, and maybe some custom tuning on the ECU to remove VATS and other stuff you don't need.

1982 Silverado - just an old truck motor I had sitting around the house.

would be very cheap... you can almost get a 4.8 for free.
