Fuel Pressure vs Vacuum on 6.0

When I did my 6.0 install I didn't have the FPR hooked up to the vacuum line, reg went bad after a few weeks and fuel pressure was ~58 psi. Shortly after replacing it, found where to hook up vacuum line pressure is ~44 psi at idle and might get to 50 psi under throttle. The problem is with the vac line hooked up it doesn't run nearly as strong as with it unhooked. Any ideas on whether to do something to the fuel return or what?

Is the FPR adjustable? You could try turning up the base fuel pressure with the vacuum line attached. If you're running a return style system you should use the vacuum line. IIRC, factory fuel pressure is about 50psi at idle and about 58 at zero vacuum (WOT).

It's a stock FPR non adjustable, seems to be a big difference at 58 psi

Most of the stock ones are adjustable. You sure there's not a torx bit screw on there that you can adjust?

Doesn't look like there is one, didn't take it apart or any thing, but I picked up a new today thinking that might be the problem and I looked at it and there isn't any screws. The whole thing just clips to the fuel rail.

    Are you throwing any codes?

    I'm throwing P0332.

Do you have a fuel rail from a 97-98 vette?

If so I have the same setup and having similar problems.

I have ask the same question on all the forums...vacuum or just air and nobody has a clear answer.

I hope we can get an answer.
