    which brand throttle body to use?

    right now i have a 2002 avalanche with a stck 5.3 , i will be ordering a brand new LQ-9, so i was going to buy a 80mm throttle body. i was thinking BBK. does anyone have any suggestions?

    BBk should work fine.

    use a ported stocker IMO.

    old mod list: H/C/I/N/E/G 408
    new mod list: 5.3, gears/posi, mufler and tune : (

    I ported my stocker, too. but If I had a choice I would get a bbk.

    fyi the inlet on your stock intake is 78mm. a quick search on tech got me this quote.

    I'd use a ported stocker, or if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself send it to mark at s2performance he does really good work.
