Has anyone tried to graft a 99 or newer truck dash into an 88-98 c/k? Will it physically even fit into a c/k? I don't have a dash and what I was wondering was what if I just used the entire dash, wiring, cluster from a newer truck? Sure, if I have so much money why don't I just buy a new truck? That's not what I mean;a friend of mine purchaed a wrecked Tahoe and a wrecked Camaro in order to morf together a '65 chevy truck . Out of this I can get several things for very cheap as long as he doesn't need them. I'm trying to read up on what all of you are doing as well as keep my project going and i'm starting to get brain rot . NEED THE INFO, ANY HELP/IDEAS ARE APPRICATED.

im using a 2003 SS dash cluster in my 65 C10. works fine (except volt gauge because of the lack of
body computer... but ill hot wire that)
you should use a 1999-2002 for 1999-2002 programming as the serial data is for that particular stream.
you should use a 2003-2006 for 2003-2007 programming as the serial data is for that particular stream.
if you use an ls1 same issue using that platform to what programming year. its all data stream.
its not hard... just a lil fingering out the schematics and whats is what-where.
