Thread: cam swap lq4 how much power

    Well I've got a lq4 on the way and was wondering how much power am i able to eek out of it. I tried looking around and couldnt find anything. Plans are lq4, cam swap (suggestions ) long tubes, of coarse tuning. Its going in a 65 chevy c10 and in front of a th350 for now..

    I'd think about 400 at the crank with those mods. Somebody correct me.

    Get the same cam I got put in the motor Im getting in a few days

    - 2002 lq4 6.0

    Im getting a 236/236 cam

    Thats cam is a beast lol!

    LOOK AT AR CRAFT THIS MONTH. 500 HP JUNKYARD LQ4 WITH CAM AND HEAD SWAP. THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH POWER.

    well what are your thought??
    I am stuck at the same spot, which intake???? B/c if the truck intake chokes the engine as much as it seems then it wount be worth &#036;&#036; it to swap if you have a restrictor intake...and then cam selection is out the window...

    I am hoping that the Nick Williams four bolt 90mm throttle body will come out so I can use that and swap over my electronics...I want to keep my drive by wire...

    VICTOR JUNIOR WITH LS HEADS , OR THE GMPP L76 INTAKE FOR THE L92 HEADS. GMPP ALSO MAKES AN INTAKE SIMILAR TO THE VICTOR JR. FOR THE L92 HEADS.

    just a cam is ok... but youd wanna try and do it right to compliment the camshaft. the cylinder
    heads should be upgraded as you seem to be more power conscience than drivabilty.
    but before upgrading and swaping, you might wanna get it running and debugged before you
    do as some upgrades can interfere with a swap of this magnitude.

    why not use the LS2 throttle body. rewire the TP2 output..viola&#33; done.
