***Official DFW LS1Truck meet August 2008***

I have been talking on the live tech chat for a couple of days now about having a DFW get together... if its planned right and far enough out then we can rent a local 1/8 track for the day and it be an LS1 Truck track day. we can also invite others such as Mustangs, F-bodies, Dodge and Ford truck to participate to have people to beat up on... but in order for this to work we need lots of participation. I am sure that several people can bring grills and we can cook out or the track has a concession stand that I am sure we can get the to open up. There are lots of details to be ironed out if it happens but right now just need to find out a head count to see if its worth renting the track for us to play with or just find a day that a local track is open and set up a big meet and greet type thing that we can cook at and people can get some track time with. I dont mind being the point man since i am here in the DFW area. and for you out of towners if we have enough come in then maybe we can find a local motel/hotel that is not in the projects and block some rooms and possible get some good rates. Please let me know who might be interested and we can go from there as well as other ideas and possibilities...

ALLEN from Nelsons will be here for the LS1Truck Day... he and his better half Lisa will be driving up to play with us and i hope they bring the dragalanche... he is not going to be tuning that i know of so dont ask me that will be up to him.... i am just looking forward to having the master up here to meet and hang out with...

i will be in contact wit the track in the coming week monday actually... and to let you guys know i found out great news x-mas morning that i am going to be a daddy again. so if i seem disctracted i apologize up front but i am still going to do my best to get this put together for us to have fun and enjoy a day at the track...

kennedale closing
cindy said that kennedale will be closing in 2 weeks................... seems we will have a brand new all concrete w/ nhra legal concrete retaining walls here in the near future........sooooo kennedale won't be the best hookin track anymore...for awhile
in light of this information i will be making a push for the having the meet in Denton...

Update 4-15-08

Ok it looks like we will be racing at Northstar (Denton) and i am shooting for the 16th. now here is the kicker that is a saturday and i need to know if you want to run at night with the DFWSTANGS guys so there will be mustangs to whoop up on and get whooped by or do you want a truck thing that will be run during the day with only us there? if we run at night gates open at 6pm if we want to run during the day with only us i can probably get them to open at noon? i just figured it would be a good night atthe track with the pony's there to beat on... the DFWSTANGS events usually have a good car count.

Those are a mix of Saturdays and Sundays. So you guys can take a look at which one looks like the best fit for you guys and I will pencil you in. If you want to reference what is happening at the track on those dates, just go to the schedule on the track site.

Jeff, I'm a Hilton Hhonors Diamond member...I may be able to get reduced rates on some rooms at any of the Hilton family of hotels (Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton, Embassy, Double Tree) if we receive some definitive reservations. It would probably require members posting on here that they want a room, sending me the cash, and me reserving a block of rooms with my credit card. Not sure of exactly how that would work, but I could look into it IF there's enough of a demand (it wouldn't be worth it for a handful of people probably).

Im down man Ill tell the guys from F.A.S.T. there should be no less that 5 trucks come with me and ill probably get a room even though its only 3 hours i dont think ill be in any condition to drive home, as for them they'll more than likely come back but not sure ill find out for sure. damn i cant wait til august ill have a tune for sure and hopefully my cam and headers.
