LQ4 with front mount turbo what cam?

Ok to start off i blew a 4L60-E last week and in the process of looking for a trans i came across a great deal on an LQ4. While the trans is out im going to swap the LQ4 but before i drop it in the truck i want a better flowing cam. So this is where i need help what is my best option? also i will need a good set of push rods, valve springs, non-adjustable roller rockers, Gaskets, and should i go head and swap out lifters while im in there?

Rockers aren't needed... If your truck is the flex fuel version, you'll need to swap lifters, lifter trays, and valley cover to the LS2 style. Also, with the LQ4, the relucter wheel is different than your Gen IV 5.3... that'll have to be changed or an adapter will have to be bought.

The engine isn't a flex fuel so that takes out having to swap lifters and all that fun stuff but as far as the reluctor wheel i can just swap every thing over from my 4.8 to make it work. From my under standing the reluctor wheel and sensor is just a way of the pcm knowing where the crank is in position? I will be able to get the vin# on monday. but it came out of a 2003 H2.

That engine will bolt right in, no problems, but there are a few wiring issues to deal with.
Your engine has a 58x reluctor wheel.
The LQ4 has 24x reluctor wheel.
The Knock sensors are on the side of the block on your engine and under the intake on the LQ4. You'll need to tap the sides of the block for your 4.8L knock sensors.
The cam gear is also different, I can never remember the X number, but I think 1x on the LQ4 vs the 4x on the 4.8L. It will start with the old 1x gear, but you'll have to turn it over multiple times until the pcm sees the exact location and fires.
You might have to use your intake valley cover too, oil pressure sensor might be different.

I'm sure there are other things, so just be aware, it's not a plug and play swap, but it's pretty straight forward if you use all the right components.

ok so for the reluctor wheel how can i convert the 24x to a 58x to be the same as my existing 4.8. and what is the difference between them both? and I know this is a dumb question but is it as simple as just using the same style cam gear that is in the 4.8 to solve the starting problem. I want to do a clean swap and make the truck reliable so sorry for sooo many questions.
