I have a 2002 Sierra 2500hd 6.0L with a whipple supercharger. I just purchased an electric autometer fuel pressure gauge. I was told to screw the sender into the aux fuel injectors that are part of the whipple kit. Sounds easy enough, but, the hole in the fuel injectors is 3/8" I think and the sender has a 1/8" female end on it. Does anyone know how I can install this? Also, how do I make sure there is no gas in the lines before I tap into the fuel?

Why not tap it off that Schrader valve on the passanger side of the intake?

Also, I read that that Whipple tune isn't so good. Have you considered swapping to Racetronix 42lbs/hr inejctors (ditching those aux ones) and running like that?

I hadn't heard of Racetronics. I'll look into it. I just ordered a new PCM from Nelson Performance to get rid of TM. As far as doing anything on the passenger side, the Whipple sits on that side of the engine so space is limited. I was told that in order to get an accurate fuel pressure reading I would have to tap into the whipple injectors. I probably will have to bring it to a mechanic and let him figure it out. I'll probably start a fire.

::cough, cough:: http://www.racetronix.com/Injector_17113739.html ::cough, cough:: LOL

Those are direct fits for the stock ones on your HD. Switching to those will take some more tuning but won't use those aux injectors for fuel flow, this way you use 8 large high impedance injectors for your added fuel.

The reduction of TqMgt alone will make you much quicker, are you getting your A/F levels tuned too?

Ok, I got the fuel pressure gauge all wired up and plan to hook it into the fuel tomorrow. I didn't have any loctite or other teflon sealer. I hooked the red 12v wire into my whipple computer 12v wire and grounded it on the firewall where the whipple is grounded.

I am going to hook the sender up to the aux fuel injectors where there is a 1/4" hole. Here's the question. How do I make sure there is no fuel in the line before I open it up?

Um, under the underhood fuel box there is a fuse for the pump. Just have the vehicle running then pull that fuse out...it will run for a few secs, sputter, and die. Voila no more fuel in lines.

I'd wrap that sender with teflon tape...it's a $1 only here at Home Depot (home repair place).

When you go to restart, put the key in the ON position but do not crank. Let it sit for like 15-30sec to fill the lines w/ fuel again.

I was gonna use teflon tape but the instructions specifically say not to. I might do it anyway when the truck cools down tonight. Thanks for the advice.

    Are these -AN fittings?

No. The fitting is 1/8" NTP. I asked at 3 auto parts stores what -4AN meant. They all looked at me like I just ate a retard sandwich. I called whipple and they said the fitting on the injectors is 1/4" NTP. So, i bought an adapter for $.095 at NAPA.
