Its official. The wiring kit they send with the VSC and efans sucks AND blows . I had a problem before with the crimp connectors corroding and last Tues on the way home my fans quit again. Not a good thing in bumper to bumper traffic. :flipoff:
This time it was the main power wire. There is a 6inch section from the batt to the 40amp fuse and it was dropping 6volts in that length!! and the fuse did not blow?? I think it would have with that much current draw......

I think its 12 or 10 gauge that came with it and its obvious its underrated for the current these fans draw. I am going to use some 8gauge wire and gold plated connectors next. If something else goes wrong, that's three strikes and its outta there......

Would this be the Flex-a-lite VSC? Which fan setup did you buy?
Ask James B. over at FSC or pacific-audio.com. He has this setup and I think Flex-a-lite hired him to help people who have questions/need help.

WHAT!!, that is a highly engineered piece of equipment, there can't be any problems with it, hahaha jk

I hear ya on that, the flex fans and vsc i just put on the radix SS, they lasted 2 days and then took a shit. The vsc is fine, but one fan measured and open and the other gets as hot as a skillet on the oven.
We sent them back and are getting replacements.

may i suggest having the pcm turn the fans on, you can still use the vsc, you can just ditch the probe. So, run a wire from pin 42 to the on signal (forgot what they call it on the vsc) and that will turn your fans on.

    good luck,

WTF, so since you set that on my PCM...I can run a wire to the VSC for the fans now to get an exact turn on temp???

The power wire is underrated for sure. Not sure about you guys but mine run most of the time with the 6.0 and blower. I have not had a problem with the fans or the VSC, just the wiring.

I got some 8 gauge power wire and ground wire, soldered some connectors and did it up right. We'll see how it goes.

Sorry I missed the truck meet. I would have rather been there than driving back from thanksgiving in NM.

That blower creates a lot more heat at boost. Ever considered getting a two core 34" aluminum rad made?

Hey Allen, did you set mine up for that? I might do this and ditch the temp probe.
