Has anyone done the big 3 wire upgrade, if so did it help with the electrical system and how long did it approximately take to do? thanks. I want to see if it is even worth while to spend the money on to do.

Its when u take a larger gauge wire from the alt to the batt. then another one from the engine block to the chasis and then the negative side batter to another ground. It is supposed to decrease the resistance of the flow of electricity and is supposed to make things run better with less power drain. ie big stero system or 05 efans when the both turn on high.
if you install a bigger alternator than a bigger wire one from the bat to the alt is needed. if you add items like stereo, fans, lights. than extra big grounds are great. you can never have to big of grounds or wiring in general. it will never cause less drain. but all wire should be properly sized with a built in buffer leaning to the bigger size to be sure.
