no reverse lights-02 Silverado

I have no reverse lights. Where should I start? Im assuming the switch on the manual shift shaft controls the lights so i tested that with another one and that did not help. Any ideas? thx

is there a sensor on the actual transmission that controls that? maybe check the fuse panel?

I changed the fuse also. The only thing on the tranny I saw was the neutral safety switch. I plugged another one in but that didnt help. Thanks.

Also the motor and tranny have been out of this truck numerous times by the previous owner so it could be a pinched wire. Where could I get a wiring diagram of some sort that would help me locate were the wire from the switch etc go. thx
