Longer belt, possibly longer wire from alt. to junction box.
Gone, but not forgotten!

about 55 amps the belt slould be about 35-45mm longer. its going to be trial and error on the belt though. take a string and loop it around the pulleys to get a length. little changes in belt length seen to be big changes when putting it on the engine. heck, put it on in the parking lot at the auto store so you can try about 3 different belts. i know its getto but whetever it takes to het the job done.

Got the altenator in today . got it from a wreckin yard in oklahoma.it is off an 05 escalade. thought it would work but there is a problem. my truck has a 4 pin con. going into the stock 105amp alt. and the 160 has a 2 pin. my question is do all 05 trucks have 2 pin harness connected to their alts. or 4 pin . have a good friend that is mechanic at the local gmc dealership guess i mite call him and see if he has any info. i'll let evry one know what I find out .

I had a 105 amp alt and did a e-fan install and used the 145 amp alt from the same place you got your alt from , aklim did the post on the 105 to 145 swap and e-fan install along with part numbers , the numbers worked for the 145 amp so they should work for yours , when I said stock I meant stock 145 amp alt the 105 pulley is just a tad bit smaller than the 145 amp .
Again this section "My Offical E Fan Post" aklim .
Don't really remember on the pin count though , the 105 wires hooked right up to the 145 .
Hope you get it worked out , I know how mods can go sometimes .
