I am in the process of swaping a 5.3 2001 truck engine into a early 68 p.u. And have a couple electrical questions.
    1. I need to install a OBD 2 Data Port. But I need help figuring out were the
wires go to. I think its got 5 wires.
    2. I have a wire coming off the engine harness. That is Brown and says it
goes to the malfunction lamp control output. Thats cool, but whats the
malfunction lamp control output. Or were is it located ?
    3. I am planning on running a Summit in line hi-press. fuel pump,in line fuel
filter and a relay for the pump. Does the relayor fuel pump have to be
    hooked into the computer.
If any of you can help, maybe give me some info. I will be grateful. THANKS !
    HAPPY SAFE HOLIDAYs

Nice swap, I've always wanted one of those body styels.

    Your OBDII port needs this:

PIN: 4,5 ground, these are connected to PIN 1 and 40 on the blue and red pcm connectors
    PIN: 16 battery
PIN: 2 usually dark green needs to go to Blue 58

The malfunction indicator or LED; one side goes to ingnition and the other to red pcm connector PIN: R46. The LED has polarity. If you look at it in the sun light or hold it up, you'll see a side that looks like a flag in the plastic, that's the BROWN WIRE SIDE.

To wire the fuel pump, use a decent relay, usually 30amps.
Run your negative side from the pump to ground
Run your posistive side through a fuse, through the relay, then to the battery or alternator
Ground one side of your relay
Run the other side of the relay to PIN: R9 , red connector, this will supply 12+ volts when the ignition is on for about 3secs, this primes the fuel system. Then it's constant 12+ when the engine is running.

    Relay config/wiring:
    Pin: 86 - ground
    Pin: 85 - R9/PCM
Pin: 87 - Positive side of fuel pump
Pin: 30 - wire going to alternator (through a fuse)

    good luck,
