I am going to replace my manual ac temp control with the digital dual zone control in the dash My ponder is this going to plug and play or do I need more parts.I found the controls used for 60.00.If I had some pics I would post them If you go to GMCs site and look at the interior veiw of the denali, look at the a/c controls,The digital display and round controls look pretty cool Just like most GM parts there made to move to vehicles on the assembly line depending on options(speedo, radio and such).the panel has a plug in harness and fits in the same space. It would make sense that the harness is wired for it.I will keep yall updated on how this goes and any info would be helpful. Allen....you got any suggestions

Some where in the wire harness they have to install some temp sensors. The head unit can't differentiate the 2 zones temperatures..... Then you will have to find someone to reprogram the BCM. Let us know how it goes! If you can get it done I would love to do that also.

So far the local dealers "Can't/Won't" reprogram the BCM if I change the tape/CD/XM headunit for a 6 disc/XM/Bose unit, more than likely "Can't!"

How about this, Will it work to adjust the temp of the a/c like the old sliders...I could care less about if its warmer on one side of the truck or the other its mainly a cosmetic upgrade....If it works at all I would be satisfied. My a/c has given my hell since the day I got it...ie blows hot on one side and cold on the other :flipoff: restart the truck and its back to normal. The other day it just quit....blows air but its hot as hell.restart the truck and it works again. OH MY GOD did GM use windows ME for the base pcm system.....sounds familiar, locks up.....restart..... By the way as with any intermittent electrical problem I cant expect a tech at the dealer to duplicate a problem that happens every now and then so I can hope it quits completely then take it in for warranty

That hot/cold issue started happening to my '01 when it hit 80K, glad someone elses gets to "Restart" the truck twice a week..... I think someone in another forum said something about the motor/servo under the dash that controls the flapper for the cold/hot air.

Outside of what I told you I don't know any more. I would love to have the Automatic system also so I will see if I can find out more with you.....

Hey, can someone with a 03-up measure the actual dimensions of their HVAC controls? I was thinking about swapping them into my '02 if it will free up some more space for a larger head unit.
