Does someone make an adapter that will plug into the 9006 plug and make it to where i can put a 9005 bulb in or am i going to have to rewire the plug?
Im swapping my factory GMC Sierra headlights for some factory GMC Denali headlights. Problem is the sierra take a 9006 low beam and the Denali take a 9005 low beam

I haven't seen a plug and play adapter like that yet but I have seen these for upgrading to a higher wattage bulb. racinglab Maybe they can help you out but I think you'll have to rewire a new socket in place.

I have a set that I got with my APC projectors.
I'm no longer using the projectors so I beleive I still have the adapters lying around.

just plug them in. The plug is the exact same. The bulb base is just a lil different. But they should just work if you plug them in.
The Denali headlights come with the adapter harness attached to the headlights.

It's not the base it is just that the 9006 have a painted tip for use in low beams and they are 55 watt vs 9005 unpainted and 65 watt bulb.Originally Posted by budrun
