    Cheap-o Electric Fans

I forgot i found a pair of electric fans that belonged to my Iroc-Z I tested them, AND THEY
WORK!!! Is there a I can install a switch that i can manually pull to turn on the fans? I can fabricate something that will make them fit. I don't know how much CFM they will put out so i wanna try them out. Or is there something that will make them turn on automatically? Ow what if i run them direct, as in turn on when the truck is on? What are the Pro's and cons?

Sure you can get a temp activated switch at most part stores wire it up and adjust to the temp you want them to turn on.

Or just tune your pcm to control them and wire appropriately.

Mine are turned on by ignition with a relay. I put a kill switch in there to turn them off when on the highway or whatever. I rarely have to use them. Ex gf knew to flip the switch after she started truck, so she didn't have to watch temp gauge.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

Mine forgot and ran it hot at idle at a drive thru! Haha so I put in a thermal switch.

i recommend going the pcm way. i was using this thermal probe to control the fans but no matter what i did the radiator hose would leak coolant out of were the little wire came out. That and they only have a 10degree range. if you know someone with hptuners you can very easily adjust the low speed and high speed fan on/off to whatever you want. and no probe going into a radiator hose. all you need is 3 relays, some wire, and two pcm pins. and of course, tuning software
