    Nobody knows I'm stoping!

    Ok I have a 05 silverado my right break light keeps going out. I've had to change it three times already since April of this year that I got it
    what can possibly be the problem?

    try putting that bulb grease on the contacts. u can get it at any parts store.

    the brake light module junction block. it starts with one brake light then both go out, ask me how i know lol. its like 20 bucks from the dealer though.

    Ok. Why would that cause them to go out??

    water, time,... i dont know i replaced 3 bulbs in 2 months time then i had a lady tell me i had no brake lights i told her ''yea i know the right one is out'', come to find out both were out and i litereally had no brake lights lol, bought that rear light junction block, and two new bulbs and its worked fine ever since

    Good call ^^ most common on utilities. The 3rd still works when this happens and water is usually the cause. 05-07 Classic tail to junction harnesses are failure prone too but G had the best advice of using dielectric grease in the sockets.

    yea i found that weird that they put the third brake light on a seperate circuit, maybe gm new they were going to have problems with those stupid junction boxes later lol

    They have been on a different circuit since the '94's 1st got them. Reason? $$$$ as the 3rd doesn't have any link to turn signals (circuits don't have to run through the steering column wiring harness and switch like the LH and RH do) and only has to light up with the brake application.
