Hey yall. I wired up a set of electric fans on the truck with an adjustable temp control. Well, I can't tell when the fan is coming on or not (temp stays at 180* whether the fan is on or not, did this by driving around with fan unplugged) so I want to hook it up to an ignition hot wire. My question is is where do I find an ignition hot wire? I don't have a haynes manual or anything. Thanks for the help.

Do you have a test light or volt meter? Remove your fuse box cover and find any of those wires (probably red) that show 12+v when the key is turned on. Have that wire trigger your relay.

    good luck,

Thanks. We did just that. The wire we ended up tapping was the wire for the alarm. Everytime the alarm beeps, the fan kicks on. Oh well. It runs when the truck is on and it quits when the key is turned off. Thanks for the help.

With your alarm? Does it go off whith the panic button? That'd be neat.
