I am putting LT1 fans on my 01 Silverado and I have no blue #42 pin. My truck is supposed to be programmed to use this pin with LS1 edit. My question is can I put a pin in this place and connect directly to it?

Well I will answer this myself, I installed a pin in the blue #42 socket and it worked like it was supposed to, the fans kicked on at around 185 deg. like they were supposed to and when the temp dropped to around 175 they kicked off. I guess the truck pcm's are not equipped with this pin but the cars are.

Are you using a car or truck PCM? AFAIK all you need to do is add that pin to the wiring harness.

Let's face it, the red hair... makes 'em wet.
I am using the stock truck PCM and adding the pin fixed it.

Hey 02Denali, I have tons of those pins. If you can wait till you come down here for Allen to do your cam then you can have a couple.

My Efans are hard wired with a temp sensor stuffed in the radiator. This sounds like an easy mod I need to get done! I assume I need Allen to add the features to the tune with the LS1 Edit, though.
