There are many more knowledgable than I who believe that the stock bottom can last a long while properly tuned putting 600-650 RWHP to the ground. Of course that would be through a 4l80E and TCase to keep the drivetrain alive. I can vouch for it handling 650 crank horse power while holding idle at 700 rpm's. There are zero DD issues at this level. Once I secure a 65E and true trac I might bump it a bit..... My intercooler will be here Friday so what little IAT issue I see prior to the spray should be non-existant after that....

Then I plan on a re-dyno and a quick trip to my local 1/8th mile for a few test and tunes.....

That's some serious power for an old man truck

I hope your track times suck because my sister is shooting for the fastest/quickest Av around, haha jk, good luck at the track and get ready to break something. jk again.

Seriously, you've done an awesome job on the truck and keep it up! If everything goes well, I bet you have a low 12 sec truck there!

keep us updated,
allen

Completely stock '05 w/ tuning, hahah jk.

Laying on the floor waiting to be installed, she needs to make an appointment.

222cam
ETPerformance 5.3L heads
Yank 2600 (it'll go to 3Krpms)
Long tubes
Off road Ypipe
Electric Cutout
Magnaflow catback
BM trans cooler/160stat
Volant cai

OOoo ya &
175 Shot NOS system

Forced induction is very fun and easy power, but a head and cammed engine with NOS is awesome!
It pulls right off the line all the way through redline.

I'm not sure if this will get us there, but if not, that 6.0L I have is going in there!

we'll see, maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I know for sure it'll be fast for an Avalanche.

later,
allen

Sounds like your sister is calling me out by proxie.... Um, to the winner goes the spoils...?

But seriously, I trully wish it wound up being low 12 seconds, but I am trying to be realistic and hope I can break into the 12's.... That would make me a happy man.... Old but happy....

I'm not as ambitious as you guys. I just want a quarter mile time slip with a 13.99 and a 1/8 mile 8.99 but I want to do it with a lifted 4x4 Avalanche.

Hey KY_BOB,
I'm sure your truck is very strong, but I would think with those mods, your truck should be there.
Have you had it to the track yet?

later,
allen
