    First trip to dyno

So I took the truck to the Dyno. I had a friend do a custom tune. The truck pushed out 253 hp and 272 tq. The truck has a few more mods done to it, its has a 6" lift and 35" tires, so I guess those numbers are o.k. I'm now saving to do a gear swap, LT,ORY, and a bigger cam. Wish me luck!! I wonder how much power it would of put down on factory tires?? I guess I'll never know!!!

The answer to that is MORE! Check this thread out:

The difference may not be as much as what was done in the thread but larger tires & wheels rob horsepower big time!

good numbers for running 35s! might want to consider a stall depending on how big of a cam you're going with

I agree...that's a lot of weight to move around.

Thats crazy! I doesnt feel like it lost 100 hp. It feels more like it lost 50 the most. But the truck looks sweet! And I can pretty much go anywhere! My last truck was slammed, cammed, the whole works, it was a 3800 pound, 97 step side reg. cab. and that thing hauled ass! So it was time to go High. its slower, but then again, I didnt buy a 4x4 to race it, even though, i've killed me a few rivals in it!

honestly those are awesome numbers for your mods. I have seen trucks with stock size tires put down the about the same hp. So I would be really surprised to see much more pony's out of your truck, with those mods and diff tires.
