    Turbo 05

I took my turbo silverado to the dyno finally. Well I've been a member for a while, but never posted so i guess we can consider this a introduction also. I'm from prairie grove, ar. its by fayetteville. I have a 05 4.8 4x4 sc swb. I did a diy rear mount turbo. Its a master power T70 .68 A/R. No mods to the motor other than injectors. This is the first time i've ever done a project myself like this, and it was a blast. I ran 9lbs of boost and got 374hp and 403 torque. Its not as much as some, but i was happy with my results. Haven't gone to the track yet, but am pushing to go in April.

thanks guy. some bad news on my part is the tranny is now craped out. Only got first gear. i took the pan off. The fluid and filter was fine, but the band is extremely loose. I did have a Transgo Reprogram kit in it, but the tranny definatly wasn't ready. Its good to know that my second vehical isn't drivable right now either.
I was happy with the numbers. The turbo is a lil big, but its alright. makes boost startin about 2600. Definatly gonna need a converter to get out of the hole, and get a tougher tranny. but all in all i'm happy with the #'s with it bein four wheel drive.

Those are some descent numbers I ran a MP T70 for a while when I had the 4.8 and STS. A little lagy but not bad. Find ya a LS6 cam and springs. They are pretty cheep and will make a BIG difference in HP output. Good luck on your new tranny
