    07 Silv 5.3 - dyno

Thought some of you guys might be interested in this. I really need to start posting all the dyno's we do.

    Truck: '07 5.3L extcab, 2wd.
    Mods: Shorty headers

Dyno Stock cal vs tuned w/ 89oct:

    25tq gain in the midrange
    23hp gain in the midrange
    15hp gain on topend

We're currently installing a custom grind cam 214duration, I'll post up the gains after it's done.
Then we'll swap the shorty's for long tubes.
After that, the truck is getting a shiftkit, stall and cooler, but that won't show any gain or loss worth posting.

The dyno takes into account humidity and temps. But all engines make more power in colder weather, so how do you correct for that?

It figures in temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. SAE 5 (smoothing 5) gives the most accurate read. Most Dyno Jet Dynos have this option as it has an atmospheric sensing module to read the temp, humidity, etc
