    Dyno Results for 04 Silverado

So, Today i went and had my truck dyno tuned. I currently have long tube headers, a 220 551 112 cam, volant intake, and spintech muffler. My truck ended up only making about 300 hp, and 293ft/lbs of torque(stock i was told around 220hp?)To the wheels..... When the guy told me that, i was like are you sure, and he said that the reason my truck only made that much horsepower, is because my clutch is slipping bad, and so therefore he could never get a solid run. So i guess my hunt for a t-56 trans starts sooner than i had wanted it too, i was hoping to wait about 6 months but, what are u going to do. The thing that gets me is that the truck only has 29000 miles. Bummer. Once i get the new tranny in though, he said my truck should be pulling about 310-320... i like those numbers a little better.. As is though, my truck runs WAAAAYYYY better, those guys at synergy do great work, and have Wonderful customer service. Great guys to deal with, i will deffinately be going back and reccomending everybody i can. And best of all, even with my clutch slipping, my truck stays with my brothers Diesel, and pulls on him(06 duramax with edge.. an extra 100 horse) now... oooo how sweet it is. I'll post up pics of the printout tomorrow or something

Actually Where i got it dyno'd he takes the tires off, and bolts the dyno right to it in place of the rear tires, that way he can control all the variables and stuff. I think thats the most acurate way out there to dyno a truck, i would think.

You can cut 20 - 40 HP for those 22's.

Can you feel the clutch slipping on the street.
That's not bad for power output, each dyno is different.
As long as it runs good on the street... that's the important part.

ya, the truck Runs Great on the street. The guy that does the Dynoing there is a Super nice guy. Hey FarmTruc , i don't know if this is how you do your live dyno's, but he did a street drive with me,and he told me i could pick whatever rpm i wanted to run it at idle, and showed me some other little neat stuff on the computer.. He recommened an rpm that he would go with (700 rpm's) and i thought it sounded pretty good, so i left it there. It was pretty cool he got the customer involved, felt like i was somebody haha.

And as far as the clutch slipping goes, yes i can feel it slipping on the street, and it sucks.... Also another bummer, is that the passenger side cat burned up when i was backing my truck off the trailer at the dyno shop. So this is becoming an expensive cam and header swap.... but its worth it.

Can't wait to get a T56 in it.

    According to this,

    CTS-V FAQ: List Style FAQ

New Venture Gear 3500 is what is in my truck, i believe.

That Trannys only built for 285ft/lbs of torque, so no wonder its slipping, haha.
