I did too, different place though. First universal pump i got failed. Said eff it. Spent the extra $75

Pretty much have to cut a hole in the bottom of the bucket and let the new pump sock stick out the side. The stock bucket is set up so that the pump is always submerged in fuel to keep it cool. With the universal pump you will no longer have that. So heat may be an issue and burn up a pump. It COULD happen not saying it will. Reason why after mine failed i got the whole drop in unit for $175.
