    New tranny problems please help!

Ok some of you have seen my swap under conversions. Long story short. 95 z71, I swapped a 04 6.0 in it and used the factory tranny. I bought a complete hd rebuild kit from probuilt, and had a local builder put it together. Finished the swap and have drove it for a week and a half. It worked flawlessly. Quick shift part throttle and firm shifts wot. Also put a circle d 2500 converter in it. All of a sudden today I get in it and at some point on the way to work it shifted funny into 3rd and overdrive. It kinda revvd up a little then slipped into gear. Then on lunch break it done it a lil worse, only 3rd and overdrive. On the way home from work if you barely touched the throttle it would come out of 3rd and overdrive all the way into second even at highway speeds. It is full of fresh fluids and has the factory hd tranny cooler in front of the radiator. I am already in the hole and this is my only vehicle. I cant afford to rebuild the tranny again. Could this possibly be a electrical problem from the swap?

check the servo housing on the side of the trans and make sure the snap ring is installed correctly (im assume we are talking about a 4l60e/700r4)

it could b short, or a bad a b sylonoid which controles 3 4 shift, u need check ur line pressure to 3 4 drum sounds like losing pressure third and fourth are the same cluth, only fourth works with the 2 4 band also, hate to say it but prob need rebuild 3 4 drum again, ask ur builder if he put the overrune springs back in 3 4 drum, if not thats ur prob, its recomended to leave them out on the older 700 r4s but not on the 60s

If you have not pulled it yet, do a pressure check on it and see what happens during 3/4. Good luck and keep us updated.

Update? I had a similar problem with my nnbs 4x4 vortec max. Dont know how or why, but apparently a snap ring broke in the transfer case and was allowing a shaft to move, causing odd shifting and some times no gear engagement at all. Hopefully yours is an easier fix.
