    drone in the cab

    I got a 04 silverado with a cold air intake and a magnaflow dual exhaust. I have a loud drown in the cab at highway speeds thats anonying any suggestions on what to do i dont want to get rid of anything tho.

    run the exhaust all the way out the back if its not already or look into a different muffler

    Does it sound like an exhaust drone? Could be a u-joint or something around the drive shaft causing it.
    2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit

    Its diffently a drown not the drive shaft exhaust is out the back im on my second muffler and dont want to replace it my first one was alot louder. would a sound deadener work in the cab how much would it deaden it

    which magnaflow do you have? mines the 14in case and i have it in front of the wheel with LT's and no cats its loud as hell when accelerating and at WOT but on the highway it really doesnt have a drone

    i am not really sure which one it is sounds just like what yo got 14in case i still have the cats and factory manifolds. was thinking about headers and no cats don't need them in south dakota i get a drone when accerlerating and at highway speeds exept for when i hammer down on it then i dont notice it i guess just wanted to get rid of it so i can talk to the person sitting next to me in the cab

    Where is the muffler mounted? You could try moving it back further...

    It's located right between the cab and box about as far back as it can go because right after the muffler it the pipes go up and over the axle.

    If you are drowning in the cab, you could open the door to lower the water level.
