...if you can clear the headlamps like on regular GMC fullsize pick up headlamps?
I did the yukon denali conversion and I just bought the projector headlamps. Now I have the reflectors on the headlamps again and on the new blinkers. Can I just do the mod on the top like my old sierra ones?? what about the blinkers? I kinda miss having the whole front end all chrome and white. Now I have the orange reflectors and I think it looks wack

I've seen them at shows and remember someone mentioning Cal Concept for them, but they dont have them. What "mod" are you talking about that you want to know if it works?

I know I dont answer you question, but, i do know they make em, somewhere.

Here's a pic to help describe what I'm talking about....

This picture is of my truck currently, I haven't put the denali projectors in yet, they're sitting in a box right next to me. Those are the stock Sierra headlamps on my truck right now which I "cleared" out. I cleared them by breaking the silicone sealing and removing the orange reflector inside that space. The denali projectors I have come with that orange reflector just like my Sierra ones did. One of my questions is, can I remove those orange reflectors on my new denali projectors safely? I only ask because I really don't know if those projectors can be affected by opening up the housing and exposing them...anyone know? I mean, I'm sure I can open them up just like I did on my Sierra headlamps and remove them.
Second question, the blinkers have orange in them too, a reflector of some sort I'd assume. Is there a way to remove it so it looks "clear" like the clear corners you can buy for a silverado/sierra?? Or does some place sell those?
    Thanks

I'll check APC, I really would rather buy from someone else because before I did the yukon/denali front end swap, I bought the clear corner blinkers for my Sierra front end and after awhile they started to turn a yellowish nasty looking color. Anyone know of any other companies who make them?
    Thanks

*edit* just checked, APC doesn't make clear corners for the yukon denali....
but "Car Wear" apparently does, anyone heard of this company? theres no pic provided...

*edit #2* nevermind, Car Wear makes clears for denalis, but the older ones, same corner as the OBS esky...

APC = A Piece of Crap

Okay, I would open the projector lights and see exactly what part of orange. Some projector lights have the reflected area painted, if you remove that, then they will just be stock brightness, or dimmer b/c there is nothing to reflect it from. Some paint the lense itsself and that you can scrape off/peal off.

I just checked all the books and talked to some people and they said, "i dunno" (what help are friends?)

Toucan and Car Wear and Stylin Concepts are all cheap APC knock offs and i do believe they aren't dot legal lights. (they might be now, i'm out of the custom loop at the moment)

    :lmao: yep, they suck...

I think you've misunderstood what I'm talking about. On the corners of each headlamp, there is no bulb or any type of lighting there, just a piece of plastic, a reflector, that is there to, well, reflect If you look at the pic of my truck, the arrow points to the corner of the headlamp, which used to have that orange piece of plastic, it just sits there, so I grabbed it outta there. Like I said, I'm pretty sure I could remove it, but I'm unsure if it will affect the projector optics or anything like that, even though the orange reflector is completely separate from it. Not to mention I've never seen anyone with a "real" Yukon Denali with the cleared headlamps...prolly cuz its always a "soccer mom" who's driving them.
Anyway, even if it IS safe to clear out my projectos, I wouldn't do it unless I knew someone makes the clear corner blinkers....
    oh well....

You can get the clear corners @ www.procarparts.com I just tried to go to their website to check pricing, but it seems to be down. Hopefully temporarily because I just ordered my clear corners from them a couple of days ago.
