    just wondering cause i swapped my fleetside for stepside just for looks and someone mentioned it is lighter . is it really???

    didnt you notice when you lifted it on your chasis? I know the OBS had fiberglass stepsides that were lighter but im not sure about the NBS.

    yes, the nbs stepsides are fiberglass.
    and yes they are lighter...

    the bedsides are abs plastic and the rest is metal. no fiberglass on nbs. at all&#33;
    2001 rcsb FMS forged 6.0 diamond pistons, pro-billet rods, stage 2 heads worked by meaux&#39;s. livernois t76 polished turbo kit. speed eng.. 4l80 swap kit. fuddle stall, e-boost 2. all being installed by FMS now&#33;

    I second that, if they were fiberglass it would be a hell of alot easier shaving your roll pan lines. IMO

    FYI, they quit making the stepside bed in 05&#39;, from what my dealer told me today....

    It may be a collectors addition one day>>>LOL
