I started having a problem w/ my alternator charging. I took and had it checked it was perfect. So I started checking all my wiring. Everything was perfect. On the test bench the alternator would charge like it was bran new, but in the truck the volts would drop lower and lower till it was dead. Come to find out the alternator had no ground to it. I had one of two choice. Take the altantor/power steering bracket off grind down the surface where it met the block and where the alternator meet the bracket OR make a ground strap from the alternator to the head.
I made a ground strap from the alternator to the head. It was only about 6in. in length and you can hardly notice it.
So in short if you plan on getting powder coated brackets save your self a headache and have it taped off where it meets the block. Powder coating is very hard to grid of.

I was having transmission trouble, That seems to have had something to do w/ the alternator also. Ill know for sure when the rain stops and I can really get on it. No codes today. YEAH
