What , if any Induction systems would anyone recommend ?
I was looking at VaraRam (VR-6) induction system but donīt know if it would be any good .
K&N , Volant, Airaid , VaraRam , they all look like they do the same thing to me just in different ways.( I know they are all air induction systems )
I mean real world do they help ( no sales pitches) ?
Graphs look cool and can be good tools but real peoples experiences are more telling.
Now what is a tune again?

vararam i wouldnt trust anyone who produces a product like the velocity stack....if i was looking for a new intake i would get another UPD, or an outlaw, volant(new version), or k&N. you can save a few bucks by making your own intake. do a search for home made intakes.

I run the K&N FIPK and am mostly happy with it. The biggest thing that I noticed with it was throttle response.

Hey I run the K&N Gen II, on all of my vehicles and really have enjoyed them, and have had no problems with them. My friend just bought 05 Chevy 5.3, and he bought one of those Vararams kits for his and I was really impressed with its performance. He also has ran the K&N Gen II and says he noticed alot bigger difference with the Vararam. So I can't bash Vararam that my friends truck works really good. But I can tell you from Experience I like the K&N Gen II.

I did have a "homemade" CAI that i threw together using one of the cheapo eBay jobs, a big K&N and some aluminum tubing/hump hoses. Just from a SOTP feeling, it actually worked pretty good compared to the stock system.

Finally broke down and got on Outlaw mainly because my custom built one looked so freaking awful.

IMHO, there's probably not much difference between any quality built name brand CAI. However, i've heard VaraRam's workmanship and design is questionable, but i'm not judging its performance. I'm w/ TX on VaraRam, can you say "Velocity Stack".

i like how it shows that pcm for less got to street tune the truck to run a 12.85 and nelson performance did a mail order tune and ran a 12.86 imagine if allen coulda gotten to do a street tune on the truck props to nelson performance

EDIT: if you look at the bottom they ran the pcm for less tune with the vararam intake which outperformed the volant. they tested allens tune with the volant. im guessing the volant didnt have the ram air tube connected?
