I have a pewter '01 Silverado ECSPSD with all black accents & rims. I want to install a cowl induction hood with a functional flapper. But I want to find a set of black SS stripes like the ones on a '70 El Camino SS, with the thin line outline. I was wondering if someone had already done something like that. Anyone have Pics???

I just striped My 05'ecsb with silver stripes with the pinstripes and i think it turned out pretty bad ass. When i get my truck clean again ill take some pics. I dont know how to post them though. I had mine made at a local sign shop for 90.00 bucks. I could have gotten some cheaper ones made out of a different non mettalic vinyl but i liked the metallic ones and they look way better than the regular silver non metallic ones. If anyone knows how to post a pic please let me know.

    Hey Jeff

I missed you out at 1431 this weekend. You know...It won't be a sleeper long if you start adding cowl induction hood etc. Not that it won't look good, because I'm sure it will.

This post started with my old '01 Sportside and I can't go back and ammend all the old posts.

The body on this truck will be exactly the same panels. My new paint items will soon be:

    White Bowtie
    White Upper Bumper Cap
    Lower Bumper Chromed
Upper and Lower Rear Bumper White
    Black Mud Flaps

And possibly drop the body 2" through 2" drop shackles and turn the torsion bars down.

It should certainly be lowered!!!!! Of course, I am partial to lowering, but those trucks sit way up in the air.

My 6 year olds have a bitch of a time getting in and out and the fact that I don't have the GM running boards like my '01 had does not make it any easier. Everyone I talk to says that the truck will ride harder and worse, and who would know unless they had riden in and HD frame that was lowered properly?????
