    Go for it. I'm sure your detailer has the fix. I have no idea how an adhesive cleaner could form a stubborn film like you discribed.
    What did you use?

    Its just an off the shelf adhesive remover. We've used it before on other trucks with no issues. It's mainly just a major dust build up where the stuff was used, which is why I think it is a film. I'll get pics when I get a chance later tonight. Maybe it's a much easier fix than buffing.

    The buildup you see is actually dust from dirt roads.

    I didn't call BS to the solution, I just didn't use it because he was implying that it was for something completely different.

    That's pretty sick lookin man. Are the letters next?
    Did you wash the solvent off while it was wet or did it dry on?
    a medium to fine cut cleaner [I]might[I] work.

    Would you mind if I got my detailing forum to check out this thread?
