OBS 88/89 Quad headlight HID "conversion"

The quad headlights on the 88-89 are a desired taste. Alot of people update with the composite headlights, but I like the 88/89 look.

Anyways, I wanted to get some HID conversion, but they are hard to find and the ones in LMC truck are to much money, and I'm not a fan of the "euro" look.

My solution (which I am not sure if im going to use.)

Disassbled 2 low beam bulbs and removed the bulb (H3 style)
ordered some cheap ebay HID H3 kit and installed the bulbs in its place.
During this process, I assumed my beam pattern would be scattered. But its pretty bad, so I may not use them...

    Disassemble

    Compare

They are bright, damn bright. 8k HID. I'm afraid if I use them, Ill blind people, and/or be harassed by the police.

what sort of power are you making with ur setup? not to sidetrack ur thread. yea they seem really bright, idk its up to you if you want to take the chance with johnny law. I would, the worst he will do is tell you to take them out? its not blue enough to be considered anything else.

no actual numbers yet. going to the dyno in the spring. I expect to be between 500-600 rwhp.

I dont think i am going to use them, the scatter is really bad the more i compare them. No huge loss. I have less that $60 into trying this out.
