    Question about my grille.

On my 03' I have the grille that has the chrome on it. I was wondering if anyone has every tried to paint over that. Just wondering what all I would have to do to get the whole grille to be paint matched.

Just prep it like you would any other plastic. Sand, sand, sand - use increasingly fine paper, clean it with some thinner, let it dry totally, prime, sand, prime, sand, paint, sand repeat until your happy, clear, sand - do a few coats.

Toss a coat of wax on it and your done.

I used rattle can called Krylon for plastic.... Make sure you sand it down good though. Th Krylon plastic paint bonds to the plastic, and is at walmart.

you can paint over it. they make a product called bulldog, you can get the spray can version at walmart, but you can get quarts or gallons of it at a auto paint store. the bulldog makes the paint stick to the chrome. you can paint a translucent color over the chrome and then you have "candy on chrome". kinda looks like a colored chrome or you can just paint a normal color and hide the chrome.

We use Bulldog in out shop on all plastics. Its a great product. What I would do is: Sand it with grey scotchbrite really well. Wash it. Tape up the area around the chrome so you dont get any overspray. Do a pretty nice coat of bull dog. Coat of sealer. 2-3 coats of base. 2-3 coats of clear. Sand and buff and Walla. Looks great. If you run anycoat it will have to be sanded. Its best to run the clear if you are going to run because it will sand and buff out. If you run any of the other stuff you will have to let it dry sand it then start back where you left off. If you've ever sprayed anything before you wont run such a little piece. Or there is always this option

Ship it to me 2 days later I ship it back in perfect condition.
