    tailgate cap

Im not sure if this is even the right term for the part im speaking of. but i'll post some pics.

I have a cap on my tailgate like the first pic, and was wanting to get one like in the 2nd pic. Ive looked around on ebay and a few other sites and cant seem to find anyone that has one for sale, i'll probably check a junk yard here in a couple of days.

Anyway, my main question was about installing it. i assume theres some sort of glue that holds the current one on, and i wasnt sure what i should use to get the glue off once i remove it. Im not really too familiar with doing body work, but this seemed like it would be something i might could do on my own, just want to make sure i dont **** it up.

Also, does anyone know if there are holes already drilled on the tailgate? or is that something im going to have to do myself?

im sure you guys already know what im talking about, but here are the pics
(this isnt my truck, just an example)

i want to go from this:

    to this:

This doesnt seem like it would be too uncomon for someone to do, so hopefully some of you have done it. i would appreciate any pointers.

I have one of those tailgate caps in my shop off of my 2002 Silverado. I took mine off when I got a bed cover and had to put one on like your first picture. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing and I can email pictures.
