    Headlight Mod

I've been tossing around the idea of getting some aftermarket blacked out Denali-style projector headlights, but don't want to drop $200+ for a pair. So I figured I'd try doing the same thing to my truck that I did to my 2000 Z28. I separated the lens from the bucket, removed the huge reflector, and painted everything except the reflective concave areas semi-gloss black.

I really like the way it turned out... especially for the price... FREE. It's one of those mods that you don't notice right away, but makes a difference on the overall look of the truck. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the positive comments! I got to thinking I should have taken some pictures right about the time I was sealing up the second lens... lol. Oh well, a friend of mine may have me do it to his HD. If I do those, I'll make sure to make a how-to out of it. It's about time I contribute back a little to the forum.

I like it. Wouldn't do it to mine but that's a totally different story.

I would like to get some Denalli projectors and do the same thing, but until I can find a set for under the $100 mark, these will do just fine.
