you can buy 3M adhesive remover from either oreillys or autozone...best bet to heat up the area then grab and pull...i didnt use fishing line but i did my in the heat of summer and i have a black truck so i didnt even need a heat gun, everything was nice and soft

The darker the color, the more likely you'll be able to see where they were unless you buff it out really well. The only exception is white. It'll show some too unless it's worked out.

my door speakers are 5.25,

and i just did an 06 crew cab and the fronts and rear speakers were 5.25,

go to crutchfield.com, and it will tell you what size you need for your year, model

kind of seems like an odd size speaker,\
edit: i just checked crutchfield and it says that they are 5 1/4 but will also fit 6 1/2, not sure how unless there is a punch to make the hole bigger or something? Thats 1 1/4" bigger seems like a big jump to me?? Anybody actually changed theirs out themselves that knows if it will fit a 6.5 or not?

The correct speaker size is 6.5 inch front, 4x6 inch rear. I installed Infinity Kappa 60.5 front, and Polk Audio plate speakers rear.

Yup--6.5'' in front. You can go with a 6'', but some fab work to the stock plastic speaker housing is needed.
